Begin your Santa Teresa Surf Lesson on one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beach towns, where warm water, rolling waves, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere set the tone for the day. Your instructor will welcome the group and help match the lesson to everyone’s comfort level, whether it is your first time on a board or you already have surfing experience.

Before heading into the water, you’ll get guidance on surf basics, ocean awareness, and how to safely approach the waves. The group format keeps the experience fun and supportive, with a maximum of three people per instructor so guests can receive personal coaching throughout the lesson.

Once in the ocean, you’ll practice paddling, positioning, timing, and standing up as your instructor helps you find waves suited to your level. The goal is to build confidence, improve technique, and enjoy the excitement of catching waves along Santa Teresa’s stunning coastline.

It was fun for the kids. A good chance to get a first feeling of surfing. There was a short theoretical introduction and some exercises on land and the rest of the time exercising in the water. The instructor gave feedbacks and tips.We felt that after the lesson they could have given a short feedback to the participants or a kind of a summary of what have been teached.
