Experience the serene beauty of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most biodiverse wetlands on Earth. This half-day guided tour takes you on a breathtaking boat ride through pristine lagoons, mangrove forests, and crystal-clear waterways. Discover the enchanting meeting point of subterranean freshwater rivers and the Caribbean Sea, a habitat teeming with diverse wildlife.

Spot exotic bird species, crocodiles, and, with some luck, the elusive manatee. Depending on weather conditions, snorkel on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef and marvel at vibrant corals and marine life, or take a refreshing swim in an open cenote. With tranquil beaches, lush coconut groves, and captivating landscapes, this tour immerses you in the magical ambiance of Sian Ka’an’s lesser-explored corners.

  • 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.: Hotel pickup in an air-conditioned van.
  • Morning: Drive through the coastal jungle to the boat dock (approximately 40 minutes on an unpaved road).
  • Boat Tour:
    • Explore Boca Paila lagoon and its vibrant ecosystems.
    • Spot wildlife, including birds, crocodiles, fish, and possibly manatees.
    • Snorkel on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef (weather permitting) or swim in a cenote.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a delightful meal in the tranquil surroundings of the biosphere.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Drop off at your hotel.

Please note that our shared group tours require a minimum of 4 participants to operate (6 participants for tours to Sian Ka’an).

If the minimum number of participants is not met, you will have the option to:

  • Reschedule your tour for another day

  • Join a different tour on the same day

  • Pay an additional fee to do the tour as a private experience

  • Receive a full refund

Pickup Point: 📍Exact pick up time will be shared the evening before the day of the tour.

  • Ropa cómoda, Binoculares, zapatos, Lentes de sol, toalla, traje de baño y cámara (protegida contra el agua)
  • Protección solar y repelente de mosquitos (biodegradable, pero preferiblemente ropa que ayude con la protección solar) y algo de dinero en efectivo (souvenirs, propinas, etc…)
  • Llevar una botella de agua recargable durante la excursión. Tendremos un repuesto para que lo utilices en caso de que no tengas uno o te olvides de traerlo.
