Capt. Dave’s custom aluminum boat provides a comfortable and safe environment for flounder gigging, which is best done at night when the flounder feed in shallow waters along the banks and reefs. The boat will quietly drift into a sandy area or up alongside an oyster reef, allowing you to stalk the elusive flounder and experience the thrill of the hunt.

Special underwater boat lights will shine down to locate the flounder that are lightly covered with sand to camouflage themselves. You can see their shape (or Capt. Dave will point the flounder out) and that’s when you make the strike with a 5-prong gig pole.
