Explore Rio Secreto Underground Crystal Cave

Upon arriving at Rio Secreto, you will meet with an expert safety crew to go over the day. Your visit includes all necessary, sanitized equipment: a neoprene suit, helmet, bottled water, protective footwear, headlamp, and life jacket.  A spiral staircase leads you down into the water, which is shallow enough for most travelers to wade through.

The provided footwear is important to wear as you adjust to the rocks and uneven ground under your feet. Once you emerge from this subterranean world, it’s time to dry off and enjoy free time for lunch. Rio Secreto includes facilities for anyone who wants to shower, just bring your own towel.

For lunch, expect a full spread of traditional Mexican food (vegan available), as well as drinks. Once you’re satisfied, go take a moment to yourself in a hammock as the day winds down. After lunch, it’s time to depart back to your hotel in Cancun or Playa del Carmen in the comfort of your provided transportation.
