In the morning after the pick up from the hotel, and the boat departs between 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM, you will be taken in the boat in the direction of Contoy Island. This is where the whale sharks are eating plankton, you will be snorkeling in turns of two people at once always accompanied by a guide.

Whale sharks migrate every year to the north of the Yucatan Peninsula looking for warm water because they like the warm surface in areas where there are upwellings of cold water rich in nutrients like the ones located between Holbox and Isla Mujeres in the summer season, this water has the perfect condition to the growth of plankton on which they feed.
