Horseback Riding Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Unique Jungle Horseback Ride in Playa del Carmen

DESCRIPTION

Escape into the jungle with Rancho Baaxal — a multi-award-winning equestrian experience where no two rides are ever the same. Twice daily, our expertly guided 1.5-hour rides weave through lush jungle trails, thoughtfully tailored to each rider’s personality, experience, and interests. Every detail is taken care of, from helmets (optional) and mosquito repellent to a personalized horse match — and to top it all off, each ride includes a little something to eat and drink before or after. More than just a ride, Rancho Baaxal is a rescue ranch where our horses and dogs always come first, and where we promise you’ll arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.

TOUR TYPE: Shared Experience

DURATION: 90 minutesWe offer two rides daily every day except for Sunday, at 9:30am and 2:00pm. Our rides last about 1.5 hours. Guests need to arrive 20 minutes prior to their scheduled ride and sign a waiver before riding. Helmets and mosquito repellent are provided. Horses are assigned based on each participant’s personality, age, height, weight (weight limit is 200lbs/90kgs; BMI limit 30), and level of experience, and a briefing will be given to the riders. We ride through a mix of narrow jungle trails and some wider trails and often make a stop midway to show some interesting things (there are not two identical rides as we pay close attention to everybody’s personal areas of interest, etc.). Very experienced riders will be able to do some trotting and cantering, conditions permitting. When we return to the ranch, our guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary beverages (a nice glass of chilled wine, an ice-cold beer, or non-alcoholic beverages), and light snacks, if they participate in our afternoon ride. Guests that choose our morning ride, will have coffee, tea or juice, and small pastries on the table to enjoy before getting up on horseback. Both time slots also include water during the ride.
