Surf Lessons in Potrero

The experience begins with a practical and easy-to-understand theory session held in a semi-Olympic pool. Guests learn the foundations of surfing in a controlled environment before entering the ocean, helping build confidence and proper technique from the start. Once the fundamentals are practiced in the pool, guests head to a beginner-friendly surf location along the Costa Rican coast. Playa Flamingo surf lessons are tailored to each participant’s level, allowing beginners to feel comfortable while intermediate surfers refine their skills with targeted coaching.

During the ocean session, instructors provide hands-on guidance focused on positioning, paddling, timing, and pop-up technique. Each movement is explained clearly so guests understand how to improve while actively practicing in the water.
