Minivan Car Rental in Cancun

To rent a vehicle, all drivers must meet the following criteria:

• Age: Minimum of 25 years old.
• Identification: A valid official photo ID (Passport).
• License: A valid driver’s license (issued in any country).
• Payment: A major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express).
• Guarantee Deposit: A security deposit is required on every rental as a backup for the rental agreement. This deposit covers potential damages, losses, or extras not covered by insurance.
• Process: The deposit is pre-authorized on your credit card and released upon the return of the vehicle.
• Amount: Varies by vehicle category, ranging from $450 USD (sub-compact) to $800 USD (full-size vans).
• Rental Terms, Fuel, and Geography
  • Daily Rate: Charges are based on 24-hour periods. A one-hour grace period is provided
    for returns. Starting from the 26th hour, additional charges per hour will apply (1 extra
    hour = 1/6 of the daily rate).
  • Unlimited Mileage: All rates include unlimited mileage and are free from hidden
    surcharges or airport taxes.
  • Fuel Policy: Rates do not include gasoline. Please return the vehicle with the same fuel
    level as received. Fuel billing follows the provider’s fuel tables, and excess fuel is
    non-refundable upon return.
  • Geographic Restrictions: Vehicles are not permitted to leave Mexico. Travel to Belize is
    permitted only with advance notification to issue necessary permits (free of charge).
    Note: You will need to contract separate insurance for Belize.
• Drivers and Extensions
  • Additional Drivers: One additional driver can be registered free of charge. Please request this when filling out the agreement. A 3rd driver can be registered for an additional daily fee.
  • Unauthorized Drivers: Driving by an unauthorized person voids all insurance coverage.
• Security deposit: USD 450, refundable at the end of the rental agreement.
• LDW deductible: 10% of the vehicle’s commercial value, determined by the insurance company based on factors such as year, make, and model.

Important: Insurance is only valid if the driver is authorized, sober/drug-free, and reports the accident immediately at the scene. Do not move the vehicle until instructed by insurance or police.

• What is NOT Covered:
  • Traffic tickets.
  • Tire/wheel damage or loss of hubcaps, keys, license plates.
  • Smoking odor or interior upholstery damage/stains.
  • Damage from driving through floods or chassis/body frame damage from unpaved roads.
